1. Agreement
By using boardscalc.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. These terms are between you and Ahmed Mansouri.
2. What the service is
BoardsCalc provides free, browser-based calculators that produce estimates. It is an informational tool, not a professional service. It does not create any advisory relationship between us.
3. No warranty of accuracy
We work hard on correctness — the calculations are covered by an automated test suite and the underlying rates and conventions are reviewed periodically — but the site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. Third-party rates, prices and conventions change without notice.
Board footage is calculated from the nominal dimensions you enter, using standard lumber-industry conventions. Yards differ in how they measure, grade, round and price stock, and the waste allowance is a rough factor rather than a model of your specific boards. Always confirm quantities and prices with your supplier before purchasing, and never rely on this tool for structural or load-bearing decisions — that requires a qualified engineer.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is financial, tax, accounting, legal, engineering or other professional advice. Decisions about pricing, purchasing or construction are yours, and you should consult a suitably qualified professional where the stakes warrant it.
5. Your responsibility to verify
You are responsible for checking any figure before you rely on it. Where a result would drive a significant financial or material commitment, verify it independently — with the platform, supplier or professional concerned.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, wasted materials, mispriced inventory or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use this site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the calculators freely for personal and commercial purposes, and the results they produce are yours to use however you like. You may not: attempt to disrupt or overload the site; scrape it at volume or automate access in a way that degrades service for others; copy the site's code, text or design to publish a substantially similar tool elsewhere; or misrepresent the results as endorsed by any third party.
8. Intellectual property
The site's code, wording, design and structure belong to their author and are protected by copyright. The numerical results you generate are not claimed by us. Any manufacturer, retailer or supplier names mentioned are the trademarks of their owners and are referenced descriptively. We are not affiliated with any of them.
9. Third-party links
Where we link out, we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Availability and changes
The site may change, move or be discontinued at any time without notice, and features may be added or removed. If advertising is introduced, the privacy policy will be updated first.
11. Privacy
Use of the site is also governed by our privacy policy. In short: your inputs never leave your browser.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms; the date above shows the last revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised version.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Tunisia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections you enjoy where you live.
